As many other women, I was forever frustrated about exercising. Every Monday/new year/you name it, I would promise myself things would be different but the dream was short-lived. I’d start at a new gym and try to hype myself up for the classes only to walk out the door and never come back. The traditional exercises were never able to keep my excitement up for too long and they also lacked something I’ve been looking for – a sense of belonging.

Everything changed after I went to my first class at Bang Bang Muay Thai (formerly Bikini Bods). Every session made me feel more passionate about Muay Thai and I would always finish feeling incredibly inspired and the strongest I have ever felt. I started as a client and long story short, I became a coach and then a manager(!) at one of the Sydney branches. All these experiences were enough for me to realise that I had found my path.

For nearly 3 years now BB has been my happy place. It changed my relationship with health, fitness and training. Like waking up in the morning and brushing my teeth, my BB workout became a vital part of my routine. – Who doesn’t like to relief some stress while throwing some power kicks and slashing elbows? They’re my favourites!

Well, but not everything is about training, right? On the weekends I love going for walks or binge watch movies or series while I have a cheeky wine, or maybe a margarita. I also love spending quality time with my baby girl and hubby, they really are my sunshine!

As you can see I love talking. – But it’s all to say that my goal here is to support a healthy and fun relationship with exercise. I want the girls to have the same opportunity I had to be the best version of themselves and feel connected – not only with their bodies but with like minded women around them. Hopefully BB will be a highlight of their day! – As it is mine.
